Bioboxes

in englischer und deutscher Sprache

Mensch trifft auf Box. Der eine als Darsteller in einer Box, die er auf seinen Schultern trägt, der andere als Zuschauer unter einem kleinen Vorhang davor. In fein ausgestalteten Miniaturen erzählen die lebendigen ›Bioboxen‹ kleine Geschichten von Schmerz und Leiden, von der großen Liebe oder einfach einer Beobachtung aus dem Alltag – jede Box entfaltet eine kleine, neue Welt.
Theatre Replacement hat diese kleinste Theaterform entwickelt und nach Oldenburg mitgebracht. Für pazz werden von verschiedenen Künstlern weitere Bioboxen geschaffen.

Performer meets box. One as a performer in a box which he carries on his shoulders, the other as a spectator underneath a small curtain in front of it. In finely shaped miniatures, the living ›bioboxes‹ tell short stories about pain and suffering, about eternal love or simply everyday events – every box unfolds a new miniature world.
theatre replacement has developed this smallest of theatre forms and has brought it to Oldenburg. For pazz, further bioboxes will be created by various artists.
